Texas

It is early morning here in Texas and I am watching the kids play so they won't wake up anyone else. This has finally resulted in a fourth veiwing of Frosty the Snowman. Sometimes TV is the only answer.

We sure have been enjoying our trip. On Thanksgiving we watched football and overate with the rest of the inhabitants of the United States. On Friday Jennifer and Karen went shopping while Rich and I took care of the children. Then Friday evening Rich and I watched the Dallas Stars play the New Jersey Devils. I love hockey. On Saturday we went to see the TCU v. SMU football game (which, by the way, should have been a blow out and was not). Jennifer, Rich and Karen all attended TCU so this was fun for Jennifer. I would have enjoyed the game more had we seen any quality football being played - it was a pathetic game. In the end TCU won and we all had fun eating hot dogs and popcorn.

Sunday we tackled a few projects around the house. Rich and I put up Christmas lights and added a vent and fan to his bathroom. The women spent a great deal of time trying to get the kids to play nicely together. This has been a MAJOR problem on this trip. On Sunday evening Jennifer's roommate from college (and her family) came over for dinner.

All in all we have had a great time.

My sister, Angela, attended SMU before the football program got busted for giving their players 'gifts'. Back then, the football team was really good - before they had to shut down the program for a couple of years. Needless to say, we don't watch SMU games much anymore!

Glad you had a good trip and TCU won!

Rats. In a cage.
Suicide. A go-go.

Welcome to the pleasuredome. Going home where lovers roam. Shooting stars never stop, even when they reach the top. Hoo-hah! There goes a supernova, what a pushover, yeah!

Welcome to my nightmare.

The Gingerich Cousins Wild Hair-Do Acapela Chorus sang at church yesterday. They really sounded wonderful.

So, I had this strange dream last night. I dreamt that Jeremy no longer worked at Canby Ford, but had been moved to "Milwaukie Ford". Jeff Feller had opened the new dealership to compete with Thomason, and left Canby Ford open for those willing to pay sticker price on a vehicle. Jeremy was one of the employees that moved to Milwaukie.

I really don't know why I was going to the dealer in the first place, but that is no usually important in dreams, now is it?

I think it may have something to do with seeing the add for Landmark Ford in the local paper (featuring some former Canby Ford employees).

Are there any dream analyzers out there?

Well anyway, are we going to see an entry on here about your coast trip?

Deep In The Heart Of Texas

The stars at night
Are big and bright
Deep in the heart of Texas
The prairie sky
Is wide and high
Deep in the heart of Texas

The sage in bloom
Is like perfume
Deep in the heart of Texas
Reminds me of
The one I love
Deep in the heart of Texas

The coyotes wail
Along the trail
Deep in the heart of Texas
The rabbits rush
Around the brush
Deep in the heart of Texas

The cowboy cry:
Ki-yip-pee-yi
Deep in the heart of Texas
The "doggies" bawl
And bawl and bawl
Deep in the heart of Texas
